Hawkesbury Musicians’ Network Incorporated (INC1700131) is committed to maintaining private information provided by our members. The following explains the data gathering and handling processes, and data-use practices for hmn.org.au (the Hawkesbury Musicians’ Network website). This statement may be updated on occasion, so we invite you to revisit this page every now and then.
Purpose of Collecting Information
Hawkesbury Musicians’ Network (“HMN”) was created to provide opportunities for musicians living in the Hawkesbury to:
- Connect with other local musicians
- Promote their music to a local and international audience
- Advertise local gig information
- Learn from, and contribute to, a knowledge base
- Access information about local music-related services, organisations and businesses
Ultimately, a broader aim is to highlight the talent that our local area has to offer and to build the reputation of the Hawkesbury as having a strong arts community.
For these purposes, HMN offers musicians an opportunity to provide information that will enable them to connect with others in the network, to promote their music, and to maintain their membership. Therefore, HMN will collect Profile Information, Confidential Information and Email Addresses.
The HMN website allows members to set their own privacy levels.
- You can set your ‘Find a Musician’ profile to be visible to the public and site members, or to site members only;
- You can hide your online status from other logged in members and the public;
- Site visitors who are not logged in can access your user profile, the member listing and member stream, but cannot post or comment;
- You can control who is allowed to post on your profile stream: Site Members, Friends Only, Only Me
- Privacy settings for the following options can be set to Public, Site Members, Friends Only, Only Me:
- First and Last Name
- About Me / Bio
